Okay, I didn't even try to make the background perfect. I wanted to focus on what was happening in the middle. And I added a "Mature content" warning because this has an obvious character death (even though we all do know that Russia will survive from that).
This looks better as a smaller image than the zoomed one...

Forgive me for killing Russia for this but it is a plain fact that Finns did beat Russians in the Winter War so... [Edit:] This doesn't mean that Finland won the Winter War! Far from it. What I meant was that Finns used tactics that helped them to defend themselves against Russians who had more military power than Finland did. The odds weren't in Finland's favour but we all know that Finland didn't give up though and that is internationally recognized as the miracle of Winter War. These are just facts that I read and was taught in school and I don't mean to offend anyone.

"Miracle" became possible only because at the first stage of the war the USSR attacked Finland by troops of one (North-West) district. Their total number was only a little bigger to the number of Finnish troops.
Given the lack of combat experience and normal training ("the army of the European model" in the USSR appeared only in 1939), it is not difficult to guess what this operation should have ended.
And then came the February 1940 and the Red Army, regrouping and replacing part (frankly untalented) commanders, for two weeks broke the resistance of the enemy.
Yes, the Red Army suffered terrible losses. However, due to this, many charters and other army instructions were radically changed. The very structure of the Red Army has changed greatly. And it was in 1940 in the USSR that a normal military form appeared. And it's not difficult to guess, thanks to whom. And all this was very useful June 22, 1941.

And finally I suggest that you remember that the war in general might not have been refused by Finland (under the pressure of England) to exchange the Karelian Isthmus and some of the islands for money and part of Soviet Karelia. The one that the Finns invaded during the 20s, in attempts to take it away from the USSR. About the projects of "Great Finland to the Urals" I generally keep quiet.

P.S.
In 1944, the Soviet Army demonstrated that a trained and experienced army had opened the Mannerheim Line as a can.
